Dr. Chuck Hoskins

Chuck Hoskins surrendered his life to Christ at an early age while growing up in the bootheel of Missouri. At the age of seven he followed his decision with believer’s baptism at Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter, MO.

Chuck attended the University of Memphis where he met his wife, Lezlie Allison Hoskins, at the Baptist Student Union (now Baptist Collegiate Ministries) and the college sweethearts married in 1997. Chuck graduated with a degree in Finance from the University of Memphis. After working in the financial industry for a few years, he surrendered to God’s call to vocational Christian ministry.

Chuck attended Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, (Memphis, TN) where he earned his Masters of Arts in Cross-Cultural Studies (now Masters of Missiology) in 2003 and his doctoral degree in 2012. His Ph.D. is in Missions with a minor in Church History.

Chuck and Allison served with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. They were appointed to the South American countries of Suriname and Brazil. In both countries, Chuck worked extensively in church planting and leadership development. In Brazil, he worked closely with the Baixada Santista Baptist Association as well as the Sao Paulo Baptist Convention. As a Strategy Coordinator, he worked with these churches in evangelism, church revitalization, church planting, leadership training, and theological education.

Chuck taught mission classes at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary at the doctoral, masters, and undergraduate levels. He taught such courses as Principles of Southern Baptist Missions, Pauline Theology and Missions, Church Growth, Cultural Anthropology, Leadership Development on the Mission Field, and Development of Mission Strategies as well as others. Chuck has served as senior pastor of churches in Tennessee and Missouri.
